London: In court over ULEZ expansion
From the end of August, the Ultra Low Emission Zone area in the British capital is to be extended. However, the mayor's office plans are facing resistance as neighbouring boroughs question the measure - and are now taking it to court.

Poland: Truck driving ban for the summer
In order to cope with road traffic - in view of the expected increase during the upcoming summer holidays - the country has decided to impose driving bans on trucks over 16 tonnes again this year. From Friday to Sunday, as well as on public holidays, freight traffic will only be able to continue undisturbed during certain time windows.
Grenoble: New Central Low Emission Zone
A new low emission zone will come into force in the city centre of Grenoble on 1 July. Cars and motor homes - as well as motorised two-wheelers, tricycles and quads - need a sticker with the number 4 or higher to enter the zone.
Denmark tightens environmental zones for vans
Denmark wants stricter rules for vans. From 1 July, only N1 vehicles with Euronorm 6 or particulate filters will be allowed to drive in the Danish environmental zones of Aalborg, Aarhus, Copenhagen and Odense. Retrofitting is required for all vehicles registered before September 2016.
France: Clermont-Ferrand to have an environmental zone
The central French city is ready for its first low emission zone. From 1 July, this will first come into force in Clermont and ban the traffic of vans and trucks without sticker 5 - or better.
Stockholm: Low emission zone complicates bus transport - and tourism?
The Swedish capital is planning the next step to reduce emissions on the roads and confirms the gradual introduction of a class 3 environmental zone in the centre of Stockholm from 2024. For the bus sector, however, the implementation might not be so easy.
