Electric bus expansion canceled
The planned expansion of the electric bus fleet of the Berlin public transport company has been halted for the time being.
The BVG works council has clearly rejected the expansion of its electric bus fleet. The 90 vehicles already ordered would not be added to the fleet, according to the company boss Eva Kreienkamp. She refers to the bad starting situation of BVG due to collapsing passenger numbers because of Corona.
BVG left open whether and when they would like to push ahead with the expansion again.
Bad news for our environment.
