New products in the shop: VI, L and Angles Morts

From this week on, there are some new products to discover in our shop: the sticker "VI" - "EURO VI safe vehicle" and the sticker "L" - "Low noise vehicle" mark vehicles with special rights and help for example at border crossings. For some time now, we have also been offering the "Angles Morts" sticker. This is mandatory in France for marking vehicles with blind spots.

The stickers "VI" and "L" identify vehicles with special rights. These rights can be an exemption from driving on certain roads or in certain districts, exceptions from the ban on driving on Sundays and public holidays or, for example, tax relief. Often, the visual markings also help at border controls and thus save time for trucks and buses.

The vehicle registration plate green/white "VI" - sticker - "EURO VI safe vehicle" identifies vehicles that are on the road with a CEMT permit and comply with Euro Standard 6. The CEMT permits are necessary for border crossings between certain countries. To reduce waiting times at border crossings, it is strongly recommended that vehicles are visually marked. For Euro 6 vehicles, the sticker "VI" should therefore be affixed to the front of the vehicle.

The vehicle registration plate green/white "L" - sticker - "low noise" applies to vehicles with a design speed of more than 50 km/h and a maximum permissible total weight of more than 3.5 t. The sticker is advantageous in Austria, for example. Vehicles marked with the L are, for example, not affected by the night driving ban between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. To be allowed to wear the sticker, vehicles must meet the following criteria: the sound level of the driving noise and the engine braking noise must not exceed 78 dB(A) for an engine power of less than 150 kW. For an engine power of over 150 kW, 80 dB(A) must not be exceeded.

For some time now, we have also had the "Angles Morts" sticker in our shop. This is a visual warning sign that draws attention to the blind spot in road traffic. The sticker is compulsory throughout France for all vehicles weighing over 3.5 tonnes. This means that heavy motorhomes, minibuses and coaches and trucks of class N2 and N3 are particularly affected. Three stickers must always be affixed to each vehicle: one sticker on the right and one on the left at the front of the vehicle, and one sticker on the rear of the vehicle. In the case of articulated lorries, there must even be a total of 6 stickers - the towing vehicle and trailer must be sufficiently marked. The sticker draws the attention of other road users to the vehicle's blind spots, i.e. areas that the driver or rider cannot see due to the vehicle's design, although they should actually be in the field of vision.

The products are now available in the shop. If you have any questions, our service team will be happy to help at any time.
