The environmental zone of Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch)
The municipality of Hertogenbosch is the capital of the Dutch province of North Brabant. The city includes the villages and towns of Bokhoven, Empel, Engelen, Hintham, Kruisstraat, Meerwijk, Orthen, Rosmalen and Maliskamp. The municipality has a population of 153,929 on a total area of 91.26 km².
Hertogenbosch lies about 6 to 7 m above sea level in a marsh area on the River Dieze, a tributary of the Meuse and the Zuid-Willemsvaart canal.
The environmental zone of Hertogenbosch was introduced on 01.11.2010. It covers the historical centre,‘t Zand and the area between South Willemsvaart and Aa.
