The environmental zone of Amsterdam (city)

Amsterdam is located in the northwest of Holland, in the province of North Holland. In Amsterdam, the Amstel and IJ Rivers flow into the Ijsselmeer. With a population of 862,000, Amsterdam is the largest city in the Netherlands. It is also the official capital of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. The municipality of Amsterdam is divided into 7 boroughs, which in turn  are divided into 97 districts.

The environmental zone entered into force on 01.01.2018. It covers almost the entire city of Amsterdam.
