The environmental zone of Mölndal

Mölndal is a municipality located south of Gothenborg and lies in the western Swedish province of Västra Götaland and the historical provinces of Västergötland and Halland. It covers an area of 152.3 km² and has a population of approximately 67,000. Mölndal lies on the western main railway line between Gothenburg and Malmö and the European highways E6/E20 run through the area from north to south.

The environmental zone entered into force on 01.07.2010. It covers the entire city except for the road to the south and the overpassing bridge of the E6/E20 at the exit Lackarebäck.
