Green-Zones as NO2 passive collector

Green-Zones not only wants to provide information and offer solutions with the environmental stickers or app. We want to get to the bottom of the problem. Where others only report facts, we put our heart into it!

Our team participates to the citizen action of air quality measurements “BerlinAir – NO2 – Atlas”.

Environmental zones, air values and driving bans are part of Green-Zones’ daily work. Therefore, it was natural for us to actively support this project.

The “Environmental Chemistry and Air Pollution Control” faculty of the Technical University of Berlin initiated the campaign. After the measurements have been carried out, the evaluated results, including the determined NO2 concentration, are entered into an interactive map on the homepage of the university.

Since January 14th, our passive collector (see picture) has been collecting air samples on the street in front of our office in Berlin Charlottenburg over a period of 14 days.

We want to find out how bad the NOx pollution really is.

Do our values differ from the “official” ones?

What can be done against pollution?

Are there alternative solutions to driving bans?

So many questions…..
