Further decline in traffic on the Neckar

In many places in the world traffic is currently being restricted.

Many cities in Germany are also reporting a calmer traffic situation in their communities, including the Stuttgart metropolitan region. There, considerably fewer vehicles were counted at the otherwise heavily trafficked Neckartor, experts estimate the decline to almost 40 percent. The already nationally notorious measuring station registered 44,016 vehicles passing through the gate last week; a decrease of exactly 37.4 percentage points compared to the previous year.

Other cities are reporting even greater reductions in traffic volumes - and the end of this development is not foreseeable in the current situation with a possible extension of the ban on contact.
