40 % of Berliners disregard diesel driving bans

Even during Corona, the police give little mercy to offenders in environmental zones.

Last Friday, the Berlin police announced via Twitter and their social media channels that the installed diesel driving bans on Leipziger Strasse were being checked.
The record of the officers is impressive.
In the course of these random checks, 13 violations were registered; with just over 30 vehicles checked, a success rate of almost 40 percent.
Nevertheless, according to their own statements, the police will continue to have reservations about being able to control the bans and their observance in the future due to a lack of personnel.
